Description:	The Cape Diamond Hotel is boutique hotel opened in 2005 and housed in an historic Art Deco property dating from the 1930s. Originally built to serve as the corporate head office of one of South Africa's biggest jewellery stores, it is located within 400 metres of Greenmarket Square and the Parliament building. The 60 guestrooms are spread over nine floors and blend contemporary decor with Art Deco touches. All have double cotton Percale sheets and bathrooms with hair dryers. Amenities include satellite television and ceiling fans. Some rooms have balconies overlooking Longmarket or Parliament Street. Guests can start the day with a continental buffet breakfast, and the restaurant Patat offers a modern fusion of traditional South African cuisine. The hotel houses its own bar, and practical amenities include laundry facilities. Those on business will benefit from conference facilities and range of audio visual equipment. Guests can enjoy tours to the Cape Winelands, Table Mountain and Cape Point, easily reachable from the hotel.
