Location. Situated adjacent to Cape Town's vibrant V&A Waterfront, The Commodore is a nautical themed hotel offering views of the harbour and Table Mountain, and is 20 minutes by boat from Robben Island. Cape Town Airport is 22 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Tall glass doors lead to a spacious lobby with wood flooring and a centrepiece bouquet of fresh flowers. The adjacent lounge area features nautical themed decor, a fireplace and high ceilings with wooden beams. Situated next to the outdoor swimming pool is a fully equipped gym with sauna, steam room, and showers. A terracotta courtyard with umbrellas, wrought iron furniture and a fish pond connects the pool area to the hotel. Guestrooms. The Commodore features 233 air conditioned guestrooms spread over six floors. All are furnished in dark wood with suede cushions and have bright nautical paintings on the walls. Views are of Table Mountain, the city, or the swimming pool. Tiled bathrooms feature shower/tub combinations, make up mirrors and toiletries.

Expert Tip. The Commodore's sister hotel next door is home to a traditional Cape Malay restaurant. Housed in what used to be The Cape Colony convict station the restored Quarterdeck restaurant serves a wide selection of local dishes.
