Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto
|
| Description: |
With its oval shaped design by famed architect Togo Murano, the Kyoto Takaragaike Prince Hotel in Kyoto, Japan, rests below the Kyoto Mountains. The hotel sits next to the Kyoto International Conference Hall and four kilometers from Takaragaike Park. Surrounded by trees, hills and rivers, the area is most attractive in the fall, although the hotel attracts year round visitors who enjoy its large business facilities and impressive architecture. The Kyoto Takaragaike houses an authentic Sukiya style teahouse in a sculptured Japanese garden. Business guests can book the space to entertain clients and hold special meetings, or travelers can enjoy lunch and dinner in its elegant atmosphere. The hotel features seven banquet rooms in total, including Prince Hall, which seats up to 1,400 guests.
Guests can visit one of the hotel's six restaurants and lounges, including the refined and quiet Tohen Chinese Restaurant and the tasty Washoku Japanese Restaurant. The Lobby Lounge offers cakes, coffee and tea with views of the garden, and the well stocked Main Bar provides a cozy and intimate environment.
The eight story Kyoto Takaragaike contains 322 guestrooms and 23 suites that boast views of Mount Hiei. All offer high speed Internet access, coffeemakers, satellite television, refrigerators, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and complimentary newspapers. Renovation Notice: Effective December 6, 2006, the hotel is undergoing renovations to its restaurant and select guestrooms with no estimated date of completion available.
