The Radisson SAS Hasselt is a hi tech hotel opened in 2005 and housed in the TT Tower, one of the most fashionable shopping malls in Hasselt city centre. This 12 floor hotel features 126 guestrooms, all of which feature 'Hazeltek' colour schemes in white, brown and orange, influenced by the hazel trees which give the city its name. Walls are adorned with painted murals and prints inspired by the Belgian artist Jan van Eyck. All rooms have air conditioning, safes, minibars, and wireless Internet. The Koper Restaurant & Bar serves bistro style Flemish cuisine in a modernised merchant house setting with exposed bricks, glass, and copper, and furnished in oak, walnut and zebrano. Fused into its collaged architectural style are an old Dutch Grand Cafù and a Genevan distillery. Guests enjoy access to Passage Fitness First Club, a 1,800 sq metres fitness club in the TT centre, which contains an indoor swimming pool, fitness room, spinning room, sauna, and steam bath. The club's relaxation area also features aromatherapy and massage showers. For business guests four meeting rooms provide audio visual facilities and a total area of 275 square metres for conferences and seminars. Guests with laptops who wish to check email or plan a day's sightseeing will find wireless Internet access available throughout the hotel. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can provide further information on local attractions as well as making restaurant reservations and booking excursions. Within a kilometre of the hotel guests will find the Fashion Museum, the National Jenever Museum which maps the history of a local liquor, and the beautiful Japanese Gardens. Maastricht Airport (MAA) is 37 kilometres from the hotel, 40 minutes by car.
