Description:	A large contemporary hotel with extravagant interior design by design by Philip Treacy, the g Hotel is centrally located in Galway, within 1.5 miles of the coast. The 101 guestrooms combine traditional elements with contemporary sensibility and draw inspiration from County Galway's landscape and seashore. All feature calm neutral shades, bespoke furnishings, original artworks and exclusively designed Frette linens. Amenities include satellite television, CD/DVD players with in house libraries, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include monogrammed robes and slippers, power showers and toiletries by Etro, Milan. The public areas of the hotel combine old fashioned Hollywood glamour with bespoke contemporary design. The black glass walls of the reception area act as a frame for a tank of Connemara bred seahorses. The double height Grand Salon boasts floor to ceiling windows offering views across Lough Atalia, while the Pink Lounge, styled as the hotel's signature room, features Andy Warhol camouflage print chairs and a hand woven vortex patterned carpet. Developed by renowned spa designers ESPA, the hotel's spa is located on the upper two floors and includes a 'secret' bamboo garden on the roof. It includes eight treatment rooms, four beauty suites, rain showers, a rock sauna, vitality pool, ice fountain, relaxation room, fitness centre and glass pavilion. The g Restaurant continues the distinctive design of the rest of the hotel, with banquettes clad in purple velvet and jewel coloured Andrew Martin chairs. The menu offers contemporary Italian dishes alongside international favourites. The glitzy Cocktail Bar serves bespoke individual cocktails, while the Place Bar is open until late and is defined by black and white geometric minimalism offset by a marble floor inlaid with red crystals and mirrored walls. Sightseeing options are plentiful, with the Cathedral, Salmon Weir Bridge and Nora Barnacle's House all within half a mile. Galway Carnmore Airport is three miles away, with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.
