Description:	The Courtyard Salinas Monterey provides modern accommodations to visitors traveling through the Salinas Valley, just south of San Jose and near Monterey, Calif. Located within walking distance of many restaurants, the Courtyard Salinas Monterey is three miles away from the downtown Salinas and the National Steinbeck Center, named after the favorite son of Salinas, American author John Steinbeck. The next major city, Monterey, is 20 miles away, and is home to Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf and the popular Monterey Aquarium. The Salinas Valley grows much of the nation's lettuce, cauliflower, mushrooms, celery, broccoli and artichokes, and is often called the "nation's salad bowl." Salinas is home to the annual California International Airshow, which features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, and the annual California Rodeo, which takes over this small farming community every year in July. This three story hotel offers 90 "The Room that Works" guestrooms, each with wireless Internet access and a multi line phone with voicemail. Some accommodations feature balconies or patios, and most guestrooms with king beds also have sofa beds. Complimentary newspapers are delivered on weekdays, and microwave ovens and refrigerators may be available upon request. An on site casual restaurant serves daily buffet breakfasts, a bar is open Monday through Saturday, and snacks and beverages are sold at a 24 hour market. A fitness room is on site, along with an indoor pool and spa tub. One meeting room is available and parking is complimentary.
